The Sidewinders
The Sidewinders
This energetic nine-piece band performs current pop hits and rock classics. The band features vocals backed by electric guitars, keyboards, percussion, and a three-piece horn ensemble. They have performed at the Iowa State Fair, various festivals throughout Iowa, and military events. They were such a crowd favorite at 4thFest 2015 that we asked them back for a second year in a row.

The Sidewinders is a musical performance team under the 34th Army Band, which is made up of citizen soldiers whose civilian occupations include teachers, salespersons, corporate management, engineers, and students.  The 34th Army Band, Iowa Army National Guard, is stationed in Fairfield, Iowa and is the only military band in the state of Iowa.

The Oak Ridge Boys

The Oak Ridge Boys have one of the most distinctive and recognizable sounds in the music industry. Their four-part harmonies and upbeat songs have spawned dozens of country hits and garnered a host of awards and accolades. Every time they step before an audience, the Oaks bring four decades of charted singles and 50 years of tradition to a stage show widely acknowledged as among the most exciting anywhere. The Oaks’ high-energy stage show remains the heart and soul of what they do.

National audiences learned the joy of the Oaks’ harmonies when the group’s biggest hit, 1981’s “Elvira,” became a crossover pop smash with bass singer Sterban’s unforgettable “oom papa oom papa mau mau” refrain. Their string of hits includes “Bobbie Sue,” “Dream On,” “Thank God For Kids,” American Made,” “I Guess It Never Hurts To Hurt Sometimes,” “Fancy Free,” “Gonna Take A Lot Of River,” and many others.

The group has scored 12 gold, three platinum, and one double platinum album—plus one double platinum single—and has more than a dozen national Number One singles and over 30 Top Ten hits.
