Adopt a Hydrant This Winter

Snowy hydrant

Firefighters rely on access to fire hydrants in every neighborhood—including yours. In the winter, it is common for fire hydrants to be covered with snow. With Coralville’s Adopt-A-Hydrant program, residents to take ownership of a fire hydrant in their neighborhood, keep the hydrant clear of snow, and make it accessible and visible. Registered participants who keep their adopted fire hydrant clear may be eligible to enter a drawing to win a community gift card!

For more information about the program, visit www.coralville.org/adoptahydrant. To sign up, contact Nic Pruter at the Coralville Fire Department at 319.248.1835 or at npruter@coralville.org.
