Citizens Police Academy Accepting Applications

Applications are now being accepted for the annual Johnson County Citizens Police Academy. Get to know your local law enforcement agencies and gain insight into how the departments operate, the services they provide to the community, and the techniques and tools they utilize to do their job.


Sessions will be held every Monday evening from 6:30 to 9:30 pm beginning January 30, 2017, and ending with a graduation ceremony on May 1, 2017. Classes will be held at the Johnson County Emergency Communications Center at 4529 Melrose Avenue in Iowa City.


More information and applications are available at www.coralville.org/citizenspoliceacademy or at the Coralville Police Department, Iowa City Police Department, Johnson County Sheriff’s Office, North Liberty Police Department, and University of Iowa Police Department. Applications must be received by 5:00 pm on Friday, January 27, 2017 to be considered.
