The 2017 season of the Coralville Farmers’ Market began on Monday, May 8. The Market starts with the ringing of the opening bell at 5:00 pm, and ends at 7:00 pm.
The Coralville Farmers’ Market is located at 1513 7th Street in Coralville, in the west side of the Coralville Community Aquatic Center parking lot in S.T. Morrison Park. The Market is held on Mondays from 5:00-7:00 pm through October 2.
Several special events, sponsored by the University of Iowa Community Credit Union, will be held in conjunction with the Market throughout the season. Local and regional musicians will perform acoustic music on most Monday evenings in June, July and August, beginning with Iowa City duo Greg and Susan Dirks on June 5. Kids’ Days will be held on June 12, July 17, and August 14. The June 12 event will feature a special presentation of Music Time with Nancy and performances by magician Tim Stolba. All Kids’ Day events will include games and activities led by the Iowa Children’s Museum, free balloon creations by Papa Balloon, a bounce house, and more.
The annual Sweet Corn Feed will be held on July 31, with grilled sweet corn and BBQ available from T.C. Bonez BBQ & Catering, with family-friendly activities and live music by local Americana foursome The Feralings.
The third Market of each month will feature a free drawing for a basket filled with products donated by the vendors. The drawing will take place at approximately 5:30 pm, and the winner must be present to claim the prize.
