City of Coralville Facilities Offer Places to Cool Off


The City of Coralville offers several public facilities where residents can cool off when outdoor temperatures are on the rise:

Coralville Community Aquatic Center

  • Hours through August 22, 2017: Open Monday through Friday from 11:00 am until 8:00 pm; Saturday and Sunday from noon until 6:00 pm
  • August 26-September 4, 2017: Open Saturday, Sunday, and Labor Day from noon until 6:00 pm
  • Holidays: Open July 3 from noon until 6:00 pm, July 4 from 2:00 pm until 6:00 pm, and September 4 from noon until 6:00 pm
  • Admission: $4.50 per person until 6:00 pm; $3.50 per person after 6:00 pm; free admission for children under the age of two

Coralville Recreation Center

  • Hours: Monday through Friday from 7:00 am until 9:00 pm; Saturday from 8:00 am until 6:00 pm; Sunday from noon until 6:00 pm
  • The Recreation Center is air conditioned and offers a number of indoor recreational opportunities

  • Hours: Monday through Thursday from 10:00 am until 8:30 pm; Friday from 10:00 am until 6:00 pm; Saturday from 9:00 am until 4:30 pm; Sunday from noon until 4:00 pm
  • The Library offers a variety of services, programs, and materials for all ages including summer reading programs, book discussions, and more
