Everyone deserves a great park and the City of Coralville would love to win a $20,000 Meet Me at the Park grant through the Walt Disney Company and the National Recreation and Park Association to help improve Rotary Camp Park. You can help Coralville win by voting daily at www.NRPA.org/DisneyMeetMeAtThePark now through April 30.
This Earth Month initiative grant will help four lucky cities across the US to win $20,000 for park improvements to help connect children to nature in their community. Coralville is currently partnering with two local organizations, Take a Kid Outdoors and the North Corridor Rotary Club, to raise funds for a new shelter and outdoor classroom space at Rotary Camp Park, 1430 Camp Cardinal Road. A Meet Me at the Park grant would not only help complete the funding for these new amenities, it would also be used for programs to help families connect with nature in an urban environment.
