Cart à la Carte: Extra Trash Collection (Fall 2023)

City of Coralville trash customers get their trash cart emptied one extra time for free in the spring:
- Collection is Friday, September 22 for Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday routes.
- Collection is Monday, September 25 for Thursday routes.
This collection is to empty trash carts only, and is separate from Mayor's Clean Up Week.
Place trash or smaller items in your trash cart, and set your cart at the curb on the designated day. You will still have trash, recycling, and yard waste collection as usual on your regular day for that week.
Only one additional tagged bag, placed on top of the closed lid of the can, will be picked up. Tagged bags placed on the ground will not be picked up and require a special appointment.
All the same rules about what is (and what is not) allowed in your trash cart apply during Cart à la Carte as they do on your regular trash collection day. Learn more about trash collection
