Community Displays: One Coralville, Bright Future (part of Aisle of Lights)

Sunday, December 10, 2023

Visit the One Coralville, Bright Future community displays in S.T. Morrison Park during Aisle of Lights and celebrate with some of the non-profit, cultural, and religious organizations that help make Coralville a welcoming place to live!

The City of Coralville is seeking non-profit, cultural, and religious organizations to set up a display in S.T. Morrison Park for "One Coralville, Bright Future" as part of the Aisle of Lights activities in Coralville on Sunday, December 10. The displays will help the public learn about some of the local partners who strengthen our community!

Set up a display to show how your organization celebrates the holidays, or highlight what your organization is about and how the community can get involved. Add some holiday lighting, carolers, or a simple craft activity to engage visitors. Registration is free. There will be a warm-up station (fire pit) in the center of the west lot and in Fireside Shelter. Hot cocoa and cookies will be served.

This is one of many free events happening during Aisle of Lights on the evening of December 10, 2023. To see the full event list, visit www.coralville.org/AisleofLights.

Display Guidelines

  • Set up begins Sunday, December 10 at 3:00 pm. The event is from 4:30-6:30 pm. Remove displays immediately following event.
  • Display area is the west side of the Aquatic Center parking lot. Display spaces are two parking spots in size (approximately 18 feet wide) unless otherwise discussed ahead of time with organizers.
  • The City can provide a 10’ x 10’ canopy if desired; you must indicate a need when you sign up.
  • One electrical outlet will be provided to each display; a drop cord can run to a six-outlet multiplug for your display. You must provide the cord and multiplug.
  • Businesses/organizations may offer goodies; mark for food allergens.
  • Display must be family-friendly, community-focused, and non-offensive to others. Inclusion does not imply endorsement by the City. Coralville Parks and Recreation reserves the right to ask an organization to alter a booth if displaying offensive or discriminatory language.
  • Booths with political content are not appropriate for this event.
  • Live music or recorded music is welcome. Indicate if you are having music so we can space the displays accordingly. Amplified music must be low enough to hear just in the area of the display.
