[ARCHIVED] Christmas & New Year's Holiday Schedule of City Services

In observance of the Christmas 2020 and New Year’s 2021 holidays, some City of Coralville offices may have adjusted hours and services. City offices and services will be open regular business hours unless otherwise noted below.

Administrative Offices
City Hall, Fire and Police administrative offices, along with the Parks, Water, Wastewater, Streets and Sanitation Department offices, will close at noon December 24 and December 31; and all day December 25 and January 1.

Recreation Center & Indoor Pool
December 24 & 25: Closed
December 26: Open noon-7:00 pm
December 31: Open 9:00 am-5:00 pm
January 1: Closed
January 2: Open noon-7:00 pm

Coralville Library
December 24 & 25: Closed
December 31: Open 10:00 am-6:00 pm
January 1: Closed        

Coralville Transit
December 24: Saturday service ending at 6:00 pm
December 25: No service
December 31: Regular service ending at 6:00 pm
January 1: No service

Trash & Recycling
Trash and recycling for the week of Christmas (December 21 through December 25) and the week of New Year’s Day (December 28 through January 1) will be collected on their regular pick up day.

The Drop-off Recycling Center at 950 Hughes Street is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week including all holidays.

As always, trash and recycling should be at the curb by 7:00 am the day of collection. Bulky items and electronics will be picked up by appointment on Thursday, December 17 and Friday, December 18. For questions about trash and recycling collection or to schedule a bulky items and electronics pickup, please call 319.248.1740.

Christmas trees, wreaths and swags will be picked up at the curb to be chipped for mulch through the month of January as personnel are available. Please make sure the tree has no decorations, wire, or stand and is not placed in a plastic bag, or it will not be picked up.
