Staff will remove flower arrangements and decorations that are not contained on the monument/foundation starting November 6
The City of Coralville will begin the annual fall cleanup at Oak Hill Cemetery in early November to maintain and preserve the appearance of the cemetery. Families and friends maintaining plots in the cemetery should remove flowers and decorations that are not contained on the monument or foundation before November 6, 2023.
City staff will remove or dispose of any remaining floral arrangements or decorations from November 6 through November 10, 2023.
If you have loved ones in Oak Hill Cemetery and have graveside items you wish to keep, please visit the gravesite and remove the items before cleanup begins on November 6. The annual cleanup is in accordance to section 200.06 of the City of Coralville Park Policy.
In preparation for perpetual care projects this fall including turf maintenance, City staff will begin removing flowers, bushes, and shrubs in accordance to section 200.06 of the City of Coralville Park Policy, which states that no perennial plantings are allowed at gravestones.
