5th Street Social includes fun for everyone with giant games and a chalk it up area, and live music by Dogs on Skis, Central Standard Time, New Dawn, and New Trick. Get to Know Your NeighborsNational Night Out is August 6Many Coralville neighborhoods are hosting block parties on Tuesday, August 6 for National Night Out. It's a great night to get to know those who live nearby and build neighborhood ties.
If your neighborhood is hosting a block party, step outside and join in the fun! Guests from the Coralville Police and Fire Departments and City Council will stop by as many registered parties as they can to say hello. We'd love to see you! National Night Out

Is Your Home in Need of Repairs?Program offers forgivable loansJohnson County homeowners (outside of Iowa City) who meet certain income requirements may be eligible for a five-year forgivable loan to make necessary home repairs. Priorities include roofs, windows, doors, siding, HVAC, plumbing, and safety concerns.

Construction UpdateCoral Ridge AvenueThe last stretch of work on Coral Ridge Avenue from Oakdale Boulevard to Forevergreen Road is nearing substantial completion. Eastbound Forevergreen Road is expected to re-open this Saturday. Coral Ridge Avenue is reduced to one lane in each direction while crews continue work on stormwater bio-retention cells along both sides of the street. The goal is to have all lanes, intersections, and sidewalks open before school starts on August 23. Coral Ridge Avenue
