About the Youth Sports Park
The Coralville Youth Sports Park, which opened in summer 2010, includes:
- Three full-size soccer fields that convert to six adult flag football fields, or convert to nine youth soccer fields
- Five multi-purpose ball fields with skinned infields accommodate baseball play for children up to 12 years of age and softball play through high school, with 250-foot fences.
Additional Amenities
Along with high quality fields, amenities include
- Shakopee clay infields
- Irrigated fields with permimeter field drainage
- Paved, level walkways to fields and neighborhoods
- Fencing
- Kattchee Pavilion a 4,300 square foot shade structure with restrooms, concessions, and seating area
- Maintenance facility
- Centralized parking
New in 2016
- 1.25 miles of trails connecting to the neighborhood
- Small shelter with plaza space
- Medium shelter that seats 30-40 people
- Large, 80' x 80' shelter
- (2) Bocci ball courts
Driving Directions
If heading south on 12th Avenue from Forevergreen Road:
- After passing Michelle Lane, take the first right (west) onto Dempster Drive.
- Then take the first right into the Youth Sports Park driveway.
If heading north on 12th Avenue from I-80:
- After passing the first entrance onto Dempster Drive you will pass St. Thomas More Church.
- Then take the next left (west) onto the second entrance to Dempster Drive.
- Then take the first right into the Youth Sports Park driveway.
Please note:
Dempster Drive is a "U" with two entrances from 12th Avenue.
Reservations
First priority use goes to department-sponsored teams and events, with additional availability for other user groups through an application process.
